Learning to be Present Through Music
Please Join Mindfulness Based Psychiatrist and Singer Lana Benedek & Richard Burr, Meditation Teacher and Musician for a day of music, meditation and stillness.

Mindfulness practice is built around enhancing our ability to be in the present moment, to see it clearly, and to know how to respond appropriately. However, for many of us, traditional approaches to becoming mindful, such as sitting in silent meditation, are difficult to practice. Because of this and because of their mutual passion for music, Lana & Richard decided to co-facilitate this retreat as a way for those interested in both mindfulness and music to experience the trans-formative power of being present.
The day will be a mix of guided meditations, listening to music, discussions and periods of silence. Discussions will be centered around the music experienced.
This retreat is suitable for both beginning and experienced meditation students. All are welcome.
The retreat will be 4 and ½ hours and will include breaks and time for lunch. The breaks will be passed in silence. There will be light snacks and refreshments provided. Please bring food for lunch as there is no where to buy lunch at the park.
